Richmond Rockets is a junior football club that was formed in June 2019. We are passionate about grassroots football and had a strong desire to create a club where the children are at the centre of everything we do; where their learning, development and love of football comes before anything else 😊
We work closely with North Riding FA, have affiliation and insurance with them. We also hold the FA Charter Standard accreditation award.
We welcome girls & boys and within our club of any ability! For the 2021-22 season, we have two Under 11’s teams, Apollo & Titans, Under 9’s Galaxy, Under 8's Meteors and our Under 7’s Comets. We play matches in the Hambleton & Richmondshire Junior Football League. We also run our Mini Rockets sessions on Saturdays which is a fun introduction to football and games for 4-6 year old's delivered by Pete & Louise with help from Mandy!
Pete, our chairperson and coach is FA Level 2 qualified. James is FA Level 1 qualified and Nikki, Louise & Mandy have all completed the FA Playmaker Course and are continuing with their coaching courses. We have a number of DBS checked parents who also support us with coaching sessions. Our Club Welfare Officer is Amy Lancaster.
Our emphasis is on having fun and developing our young players in a safe and creative environment. All abilities are very welcome, we just need children to be enthusiastic about football ... and have committed parents/carers who love to get involved and support!! We are always looking for parents to join our committee and help us make our small and friendly club a big success
